Plant Stand by Me Bush Clematis in well-drained soil with full sun to partial shade. Space plants 2-3 feet apart. Water regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer. Provide support with a small trellis or stake. Prune in late winter or early spring, cutting back to 6-12 inches above the ground. Protect from harsh winter conditions with a layer of straw or leaves.
