Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in average to lean, well-drained to dry soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Thrives in lean conditions- do not overfertilize or overwater.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it is highly drought tolerant. Deadhead spent flower clusters to extend the bloom period and prevent excessive self-seeding. Cut to the ground in late fall or early spring. Divide every 2–3 years in spring when the center of the clump becomes woody. Largely pest-free and deer resistant. Common yarrow produces flat-topped flower clusters in white or yellow tones over a long season. The feathery, aromatic foliage is attractive all season. An excellent, tough, low-maintenance native perennial for dry, sunny sites.
