Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 12–18 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Lean soil and good drainage are key.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it is quite drought tolerant. Deadhead spent flowers consistently to maintain continuous bloom from early summer through fall. Cut back to the ground in late fall or early spring. Divide every 2–3 years in spring- coreopsis is relatively short-lived and dividing regularly keeps it vigorous and blooming. No fertilization needed. The fine, thread-like foliage and delicate, golden-yellow flowers on wiry stems create an exceptionally airy, light-catching effect in the border. Largely pest-free.
