Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Space 5–7 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly.

Care Tips

Water consistently after planting; once established it tolerates moderate drought but looks best with steady moisture. For the most vivid neon-yellow stem color in winter, cut one-third of the oldest stems to the ground in late winter each year. The youngest stems are the most colorful. Fertilize lightly in spring. The electric, bright yellow stems are exceptionally vivid in winter sun against snow. Largely pest-free. A striking native dogwood selection for winter stem interest in the landscape.
