Plant Walberton Yellow Montbretia corms in spring after the last frost. Choose a sunny location with well-draining soil. Space corms 4-6 inches apart and 2-3 inches deep. Water regularly to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer in early spring and mid-summer. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage more blooms. In colder climates, lift corms in fall and store in a cool, dry place over winter. Replant in spring.
