David Austin® Princess Anne™ Rose

Plant in spring or fall, spacing 3–4 feet apart in fertile, well-drained soil. Dig a wide planting hole, incorporate compost into the backfill, and water deeply. Apply mulch and choose a site with good air circulation. Princess Anne is a compact, upright English rose particularly well suited to smaller gardens and mixed borders.

Prune in early spring, removing dead wood and cutting healthy canes back by about one-third. Deadhead spent blooms throughout the season to keep new flowers forming. Fertilize monthly from spring through late summer with a rose fertilizer. Princess Anne produces rich pink blooms with a slight golden reverse — the combination gives the flowers a warm, glowing quality. Excellent disease resistance makes this one of the easier English roses to maintain.
