Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in well-drained, fertile soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball. Space 3–4 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the canes.

Care Tips

Water deeply and consistently throughout the season. Deadhead spent blooms for continuous flowering. Prune in early spring to remove dead or weak canes. Fertilize with a rose fertilizer in spring and after each bloom flush. Good disease resistance. Monitor for black spot and aphids. Silas Marner® produces beautifully formed flowers in soft, blush-white to cream tones with a delicate fragrance- an understated, refined rose named for George Eliot's patient and gentle hero. Excellent disease resistance and generous bloom production.
