Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall, spacing 3–4 feet apart in fertile, well-drained soil. Dig a wide planting hole, incorporate compost into the backfill, and water deeply after planting. Apply mulch around the base and choose a site with good air circulation. The Mill on the Floss is a compact, well-behaved English rose that fits neatly into mixed borders and smaller gardens.

Care Tips

Prune in early spring, removing dead wood and cutting healthy canes back by about one-third. Deadhead spent blooms consistently to encourage continuous flowering through the season. Fertilize monthly from spring through late summer. The Mill on the Floss produces charming, cupped blooms in a warm, soft pink with a light fragrance. Good disease resistance and a tidy, manageable habit make it a reliable and easy English rose to grow.
