Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in fertile, well-drained soil. The Wedgewood Rose is a taller, more climbing variety — choose a site near a fence, pillar, or trellis where it can be gently trained as it matures. Space 4–5 feet apart, dig a wide planting hole, amend with compost, and water deeply. Mulch well around the base.

Care Tips

Prune in early spring, removing dead wood and shaping or tying in canes if training on a support. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage repeat flowering throughout the season. Fertilize every four to six weeks during the growing season. The Wedgewood Rose produces elegant, soft pink blooms with a wonderful fragrance. Its versatility — suitable as both a large shrub and a short climber — makes it especially useful in the garden.
