Pairs well with

Named to mark the 25th anniversary of Annie Tempest's beloved Country Life cartoon, this rose has the same quiet wit as its namesake: understated, cheerful, and quietly impossible to ignore. The flowers are single, five-petaled, and pale butter-yellow, opening flat to reveal a ring of bright golden stamens. They're held in large, sweeping open sprays across a rounded, freely branching shrub.

Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in well-drained, fertile soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball. Space 3–4 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the canes.

Care Tips

Water deeply and consistently throughout the season. Deadhead spent blooms for continuous flowering. Prune in early spring to remove dead or weak canes. Fertilize with a rose fertilizer in spring and after each bloom flush. Good disease resistance. Monitor for black spot and aphids. Boscobel® produces deeply cupped, vivid salmon-orange to coral flowers with a strong, delicious fragrance. Outstanding disease resistance makes this one of the most garden-worthy David Austin introductions. A vigorous, floriferous, award-winning selection.
