Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall, spacing 3–4 feet apart in fertile, well-drained soil. Dig a wide planting hole, amend with compost, and water deeply after planting. Apply mulch around the base. Windemere is a vigorous grower with excellent disease resistance, making it one of the more forgiving English roses for home gardeners.

Care Tips

Prune in early spring, removing dead wood and shaping healthy canes. Deadhead spent blooms throughout the season to encourage continuous flowering. Fertilize every four to six weeks from spring through late summer. Windemere produces large, creamy white blooms flushed with blush pink at the center — a classic, elegant color with a strong fruity fragrance. Very reliable and highly recommended for beginners to English roses.
