Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch around the base.

Care Tips

Water consistently throughout the growing season; foxgloves prefer evenly moist conditions but resent waterlogged soil. After the main spike blooms, cut it back to encourage side shoots and secondary bloom. Allow some flowers to go to seed to encourage self-sowing for future plants. Mulch to protect winter rosettes. Watch for slugs in cool, wet conditions. All parts of this plant are toxic if ingested.
