Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch around the base to retain moisture.

Care Tips

Water consistently, especially during spring growth and bloom. Leopard's bane is a spring ephemeral- the foliage naturally dies back in summer heat, which is normal and not a cause for concern. Plant companions nearby to fill in the gap. Cut back yellowing foliage as it declines. Top-dress with compost in fall to enrich the soil for the following season. Divide every 3–4 years in early fall when dormant. Largely pest-free.
