Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in average, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch around the base.

Care Tips

Water regularly the first growing season; mature plants are drought tolerant. Deadhead spent blooms to extend flowering. Cut back to the ground in fall or late winter. Divide clumps every 3–4 years in spring. Watch for aster yellows- distorted or green-tinged growth indicates infection; remove and discard affected plants.
