5-5½” melon-colored flowers have matching melon cones. Petals are held horizontally and overlap. Leave the flowers intact into winter to watch birds come to eat!

Plant in full sun with well-drained soil. Space plants 18-24 inches apart. Water regularly, allowing soil to dry between waterings. Fertilize with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in spring. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continuous flowering. Divide clumps every 3-4 years in early spring to maintain vigor. Protect from extreme cold with a light cover if necessary.
