Green Twister opens lime green at the petal tips and carmine pink toward the center, so each flower carries both colors at once. Echinacea purpurea 'Green Twister' grows 2 to 3 feet tall and 18 to 24 inches wide in full sun to part sun, hardy from Zone 3 through Zone 8.
The proportion of green to pink varies plant to plant and flower to flower, since this is seed-grown rather than cloned. Bloom runs from early summer into fall.
The stems are tall enough for the middle of a border and stiff enough to stand without staking. The flowers cut well.
