Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained soil amended with compost. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch around the base.

Care Tips

Water consistently throughout the season. Gaura is heat and drought tolerant once established but performs best with some moisture during establishment. Deadhead spent flowers or shear lightly to tidy and encourage reblooming. Cut back to the ground in late fall. Divide every 3–4 years in spring. The airy, butterfly-like blush-pink flowers on wiry stems sway gracefully in the breeze and bloom over an exceptionally long season.
