Planting Tips

Plant in average, well-drained soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it has good drought tolerance. After the first main bloom flush, cut the entire plant back by about half to encourage fresh foliage and often a second wave of flowers in late summer. Cut to the ground in late fall. Divide every 3–4 years in spring to maintain vigor. Largely pest-free and deer resistant. The airy, delicate flowers and attractive, deeply cut foliage make this an elegant addition to the mixed border.
