Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly.

Care Tips

Water consistently after planting; moderately drought tolerant once established, especially in shade. Trim off any tired or tattered foliage in early spring to make way for fresh new leaves. Divide every 3–4 years in spring when the crown heaves out of the soil or the plant becomes congested. Fertilize lightly in spring. Largely pest-free. The large, silver-marked, green foliage with dark veining is elegantly patterned and provides excellent long-season interest in shaded borders. Airy white flower wands appear in early summer.
