Planting Tips

Plant in average, well-drained soil. Space 4–6 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly.

Care Tips

Water consistently after planting; once established it is moderately drought tolerant. Prune in early spring before new growth begins- Rose of Sharon blooms on new wood. Deadhead to reduce self-seeding, which can be prolific. Fertilize lightly in spring. Largely pest-free. The large, silky, clear blue flowers with a deep-blue eye are exceptionally refined- an unusually pure and beautiful blue tone produced in continuous succession from midsummer through fall. One of the best blue Rose of Sharon selections.
