Holden's™ Pink Flare Rhododendron

Plant in spring, choosing a site with morning sun and afternoon shade. Rhododendrons require acidic, moist, and well-drained soil — if your soil is neutral or alkaline, amend generously with peat moss or acidic compost before planting. Dig a wide, shallow hole and set the plant so the top of the root ball is at or slightly above soil level. Mulch 3–4 inches deep with wood chips or shredded bark to keep roots cool and moist. Water thoroughly after planting.

Remove spent flower clusters by snapping them off carefully just above the new growth buds — this improves next year's bloom. Feed with an acid-formulated fertilizer in early spring. Water consistently during dry periods, as rhododendrons have shallow roots and dry out quickly. Avoid fertilizing after midsummer.
