Holden's™ Raspberry Ruffles Rhododendron

Plant in spring in acidic, moist, well-drained soil with afternoon shade protection. Amend soil with peat or acidic compost if pH is above 6.0. Set the root ball at or just above grade — never plant deep — and mulch 3–4 inches deep with pine bark or shredded wood. Water thoroughly at planting and maintain consistent moisture through the first growing season.

Remove spent flower clusters after blooming by snapping them off carefully just above the new growth buds to direct the plant's energy into developing next year's flower buds. Apply an acid-formulated fertilizer once in early spring. Keep soil consistently moist throughout the growing season. Replenish mulch annually. The frilly, raspberry-toned blooms make this one of the most ornamental of the Holden's rhododendron series.
