Berry Heavy® Gold Winterberry

Plant in moist, well-drained to wet, acidic soil (pH 3.5–6.5). Space 6–8 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch generously. A male pollinator variety such as Jim Dandy or Apollo must be planted nearby for berry production.

Water consistently and generously- winterberry thrives in moist to wet conditions and tolerates flooding. Little pruning needed; remove dead or crossing branches in early spring. Fertilize lightly in spring with an acid fertilizer. Berry Heavy® Gold produces unusually large, golden-yellow berries that create a striking, different effect than the typical red- outstanding in winter arrangements and the garden. Birds will eventually eat the berries. Largely pest-free.
