Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained, acidic soil (pH 4.5–6.0) with generous organic matter. Space 4–6 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep.

Care Tips

Water deeply and consistently throughout the growing season. Prune lightly immediately after flowering. Fertilize in spring with an acid azalea/rhododendron fertilizer. Monitor for lace bugs. Keepsake has strikingly marked flowers- the buds and flowers display ornate, burgundy-red banding on white to pink petals, creating an exceptionally intricate floral display. A true keepsake among mountain laurel selections. Largely otherwise pest-free.
