Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained, acidic soil (pH 4.5–6.0) with generous organic matter. Space 4–6 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep.

Care Tips

Water deeply and consistently throughout the growing season. Prune lightly immediately after flowering. Fertilize in spring with an acid azalea/rhododendron fertilizer. Monitor for lace bugs. Pink Charm is one of the most ornamental mountain laurels available- the deep pink buds open to clear, soft pink flowers with a refined, polished appearance. An outstanding, long-lived native evergreen for shaded and partly shaded acidic woodland gardens. Largely otherwise pest-free.
