Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in spring near a water feature, pond edge, or in any consistently moist garden area, spacing 18–24 inches apart. Globeflower requires reliably moist to wet soil and will not perform well in dry conditions. Incorporate compost into the planting area to improve moisture retention. Water thoroughly after planting and maintain consistent soil moisture throughout the growing season.

Care Tips

Keep soil consistently moist — this is the single most important requirement for globeflower. Remove spent blooms to encourage a second, lighter flush of flowers. Cut foliage back in late fall. Divide clumps every three to four years in early spring to maintain vigor. Fertilize in spring with a balanced fertilizer. A charming, old-fashioned perennial for moist, cool garden settings.
