Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in fertile, well-drained soil, spacing 24–30 inches apart. Dig a wide, generous planting hole and amend with compost. Water deeply after planting and mulch 2–3 inches around the base. Love and Peace is a large hybrid tea that needs space, generous preparation, and consistent care to perform at its magnificent best.

Care Tips

Prune in early spring, cutting healthy canes back to about half their height and removing all dead or weak wood. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage repeat flowering throughout the season. Fertilize regularly from spring through late summer with a rose-specific fertilizer. This rose is noted for its exceptional disease resistance compared to other hybrid teas — an important advantage for home gardeners. Water consistently at the base.
