Planting Tips

Plant in well-drained, fertile soil amended with compost. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Oriental poppies go dormant in summer- plan companion plants nearby to cover the gap.

Care Tips

Water regularly during spring growth and bloom. After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally before removing- it fuels the plant's summer dormancy and fall re-emergence. Divide clumps every 3–4 years in late summer during dormancy. Largely pest-free. The large, vivid orange flowers with dark centers are spectacular in late spring and make a bold, warm statement in the border. An excellent, reliable oriental poppy selection.
