Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly. Good air circulation is important for mildew prevention.

Care Tips

Water regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead spent flower clusters to extend bloom. Cut to the ground in late fall or early spring. Divide every 3–4 years in spring. Monitor for powdery mildew. Fertilize lightly in spring. Opening Act® blooms weeks earlier than standard garden phlox. Ultrapink produces vivid, deeply saturated, ultra-bright pink flowers — a bold, high-energy color that opens the phlox season with maximum impact. Highly attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds. The ultra-vivid pink is one of the most saturated available in garden phlox.
