Planting Tips

Plant in average to lean, well-drained to dry soil. Space 12–18 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Excellent drainage is essential — moss phlox will not tolerate wet or poorly drained soil.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it is quite drought tolerant. Shear back by one-third immediately after flowering to maintain a compact, tidy mound and encourage dense new growth. No fertilization generally needed. Largely pest-free and deer resistant. Fort Hill produces vivid, rich pink to rose-pink flowers that completely cover the fine, needle-like, evergreen foliage in early spring — a dense, colorful carpet of bloom. A robust, reliable selection with strong, consistent flowering performance. The evergreen foliage provides attractive year-round groundcover texture between bloom periods.
