Cavatine Dwarf Andromeda

Plant in spring or fall in acidic, moist, well-drained soil in partial shade. Cavatine is a very compact, dwarf andromeda (Pieris) that stays much smaller than standard varieties — ideal for small gardens and containers. It produces white, lily-of-the-valley-like flowers in spring. Amend soil with peat or acidic compost if needed. Set root ball at or just above grade, mulch deeply, and water well.

Minimal pruning is needed. Remove dead wood in early spring after flowering. Feed with an acid fertilizer in early spring. Keep soil consistently moist. Replenish mulch annually. Cavatine's dwarf, compact habit makes it suitable for small gardens, containers, and rock garden settings where full-sized andromeda would be too large. All parts are toxic if ingested.
