Plant Prairie Winds® Brush Stroke Little Bluestem in well-drained soil with full sun exposure. Space plants about 18-24 inches apart. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep root system, then reduce frequency as the plant becomes drought-tolerant. Avoid overwatering. Fertilize lightly in early spring if necessary. Cut back old foliage to about 2-3 inches above the ground in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.
