Fine, silvery hairs on the foliage give this plant a frosted appearance, while the small flowers attract a staggering number of pollinators. This rugged native is deer-resistant and drought-tolerant, releasing a fresh minty scent when brushed against.

Plant Hairy Mountain Mint in full sun to partial shade. Space plants 18-24 inches apart. Use well-drained soil with a neutral to slightly acidic pH. Water regularly until established, then water during dry spells. Fertilize lightly in early spring. Prune back in late winter to encourage bushy growth. Divide clumps every 3-4 years to maintain vigor.
