Apple Blossom Flower Carpet® Rose carries pastel pink semi-double flowers in massive clusters, soft enough in color to sit next to almost anything without clashing. Rosa Flower Carpet Apple Blossom grows 1 to 2 feet tall and spreads 4 to 5 feet in full sun, hardy from Zone 5 through Zone 8.
Bloom is continuous from late spring through fall, and the clusters cover the foliage at peak.
Flower Carpet roses were bred in Germany for landscape performance rather than cut-flower form: a low spreading habit, continuous bloom, and enough disease resistance to go without spraying. They are self-cleaning, so no deadheading, and they fill in to the ground rather than going bare at the base.
Disease resistance is exceptional even by Flower Carpet standards, so the glossy foliage holds clean through humid summers with no spray program. Cut back by about a third in late winter. Space 3 to 4 feet apart. Shipped on its own roots.
