Pairs well with

Coral Knock Out® Rose opens brick orange and fades to coral, and the color runs stronger in hot humid weather rather than bleaching out the way most warm-toned roses do. Rosa 'Radral' grows about 4.5 feet tall and wide in full sun, hardy from Zone 5 through Zone 11.

Bloom is continuous from spring through fall. The young foliage emerges bronze-red before hardening to medium green, and there is a slight clean scent.

Knock Out roses were bred for disease resistance first. They hold clean foliage through humid summers with no fungicide, bloom continuously without deadheading, and need nothing beyond a hard cutback in early spring. That combination is why they took over the landscape trade.

This is the largest of the Knock Outs, upright to rounded, which makes it usable as an informal hedge or a back-of-border shrub where the smaller ones would disappear. Cut back by about a third in early spring. Shipped on its own roots.

Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball. Space 3–4 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the canes.

Care Tips

Water deeply and regularly the first season. No deadheading required- blooms continuously from spring to frost. Prune back by one-third in early spring. Fertilize with a balanced rose fertilizer in spring and midsummer. Outstanding disease resistance. Monitor for black spot and rose sawfly. The warm, coral-salmon flowers bring a uniquely glowing color to the Knock Out family- the same exceptional carefree performance as the original in an elegant, versatile coral tone.
