Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in fertile, well-drained soil, spacing 24–30 inches apart. Double Delight is one of the most popular hybrid teas ever bred, with creamy white flowers edged in strawberry red and an intensely sweet, spicy fragrance. The bicolor pattern intensifies with sun exposure. Dig a wide planting hole, incorporate compost, and water deeply. Apply mulch.

Care Tips

Prune in early spring, removing dead wood and reducing canes by about one-third. Deadhead spent blooms consistently for continuous flowering. Fertilize every four to six weeks. Water at the base to keep foliage dry. Double Delight has excellent disease resistance for a hybrid tea. The extraordinary fragrance and striking bicolor flowers have made it one of the most celebrated and widely grown roses of the past 50 years.
