Planting Tips

Plant in well-drained, fertile soil amended with compost. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball. Space 8–10 feet apart. Provide a sturdy trellis, fence, or arbor for support. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the canes.

Care Tips

Water deeply and regularly, especially during the first season. Train new canes horizontally on the support structure to encourage more flowering along the length of each cane. Prune in early spring to remove dead or damaged wood and lightly shape. Fertilize with a rose fertilizer in spring and again in midsummer. The multi-colored blooms in shades of yellow, orange, pink, and red are a unique and eye-catching feature. Monitor for black spot and aphids.
