Oso Easy Lemon Zest holds a canary yellow that does not bleach to white as the flowers age, which is where most yellow landscape roses fall down. This Proven Winners® selection, Rosa 'Chewhocan', grows 18 to 30 inches tall and wide in full sun, hardy from Zone 4 through Zone 9.
The flowers are single with an open center, blooming continuously from late spring to frost without deadheading. Bees come to them for pollen.
Black spot resistance is high, so the foliage stays clean through humid summers with no spray program.
Full sun gives the heaviest bloom. It handles heat and drought once established. Cut back by about a third in early spring. The compact size suits a container, a low hedge, or a mass planting. Shipped on its own roots.
