Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in well-drained, fertile soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball. Space 3–4 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the canes.

Care Tips

Water deeply and consistently throughout the season. Deadhead spent blooms for continuous flowering. Prune in early spring to remove dead or weak canes. Fertilize with a rose fertilizer in spring and after each bloom flush. Avoid overhead watering. The large, deeply cupped, warm pink flowers are richly fragrant with a classic, old-rose character. Princess Alexandra of Kent is a compact, well-behaved English rose with outstanding disease resistance for its class.
