Large, fragrant purple-pink flowers resemble wild roses and bloom throughout the summer. The large, maple-like leaves are soft and velvety, on thornless canes that form a wide patch.

Plant in well-drained, fertile soil with full sun to partial shade. Space plants 3-4 feet apart. Water regularly, especially during dry spells, to keep the soil consistently moist. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced fertilizer. Prune in late winter to remove dead or weak stems and encourage new growth. Protect from strong winds and provide support if necessary.
