Planting Tips

Plant in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Thrives in lean conditions.

Care Tips

Water regularly the first season; once established it is highly drought tolerant. Cut back to 4–6 inches in late winter or early spring- do not cut back in fall. Divide every 3–5 years in spring. No fertilization needed. The Blues is selected for exceptionally intense, steel-blue foliage color that holds remarkably well through the season before transitioning to warm orange and copper in fall. One of the most vivid blue little bluestem selections available. Largely pest-free.
