Planting Tips

Plant in spring in acidic, moist, well-drained soil with filtered light or morning sun. Prepare the planting area well by incorporating peat or acidic compost. Set the root ball at or just above grade, mulch generously, and water deeply after planting. Keep well watered through the first growing season.

Care Tips

Snap off spent flower clusters after the showy bloom period to encourage strong new growth. Fertilize with an acid fertilizer in early spring. This variety is known for its glossy leaves and especially beautiful, large flower trusses. Keep soil consistently moist and replenish mulch each year. One of the most reliable and handsome rhododendrons for garden use.
