Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Once established, water sparingly as the plant is drought-tolerant. Fertilize lightly in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage continuous blooming. Divide clumps every 3-4 years in early spring to maintain vigor.
