Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in average, well-drained soil, spacing 18–24 inches apart. Lime Zinger is a sedum with extraordinary, lime-green to chartreuse succulent foliage that glows in the garden, topped by rosy-pink flowers in fall. It requires good drainage — wet soils cause rot. No soil amendment is needed in average, well-drained conditions. Water sparingly after planting and reduce further as established.

Care Tips

Cut back to the ground in late fall or early spring. The vivid lime-green foliage provides outstanding all-season interest even before the fall flowers appear. Divide every three to four years in spring. No fertilizing is needed in average soils. The extraordinary foliage color makes Lime Zinger one of the most distinctive sedum varieties — outstanding as a specimen or in combination with darker-leaved companion plants in sunny borders.
