Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Excellent drainage is essential- stonecrop will not tolerate wet or poorly drained conditions.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it is highly drought tolerant. Cut back dead stems in early spring before new growth emerges. Divide every 3–4 years in spring when clumps become crowded. No fertilization needed in lean soil. Largely pest-free. The rosy-pink flower heads in late summer and fall age to warm copper-bronze and persist attractively through winter, providing extended ornamental interest in the landscape.
