Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained soil. Space 4–5 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly.

Care Tips

Water consistently after planting; once established it tolerates moderate drought. Cut back by about one-third in late winter or early spring to encourage vigorous new growth with the best foliage color- the new growth emerges in vivid coral-pink and orange tones. The large, creamy-white flower plumes in summer are attractive to pollinators. Spreads by suckers over time- remove suckers to control spread. Fertilize lightly in spring. Largely pest-free. Outstanding for its vivid new growth color in spring.
