North Pole® Arborvitae

Plant in moist, well-drained soil. Space 3–4 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the trunk.

Water deeply and regularly the first 2–3 seasons; once established it is moderately drought tolerant. North Pole® has a naturally narrow, columnar, fastigiate form that requires essentially no pruning to maintain its upright, pillar-like shape. Fertilize lightly in spring. Monitor for bagworms. The dense, rich green foliage holds its color well through winter without the bronzing that affects some arborvitae. An outstanding, low-maintenance evergreen for formal vertical accents, screening, and tight spaces. Largely otherwise pest-free.
