Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained soil. Space 3–5 feet apart for screening. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the trunk.

Care Tips

Water deeply and regularly the first 2–3 seasons; once established it is moderately drought tolerant. The naturally narrow, columnar form requires little to no pruning to maintain. A light trim in late spring tidies any irregular growth. Fertilize lightly in spring with a balanced slow-release fertilizer. Monitor for bagworms and spider mites in hot, dry conditions. A fast-growing, extremely narrow arborvitae ideal for privacy screens and tight spaces between structures.
