Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained to average soil. Space 24–30 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it tolerates moderate drought. The tall, candelabra-like spikes of white flowers in midsummer are striking and highly attractive to a wide range of native pollinators. Stake tall stems in windy locations if needed. Cut to the ground in late fall or early spring. Divide every 4–5 years in spring. Red Arrow is a more compact selection of the native Veronicastrum, with notably dark, reddish stems that add extra ornamental interest. Largely pest-free and deer resistant.
