Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in average to moist, well-drained soil. Space 5–7 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly.

Care Tips

Water consistently after planting; once established it tolerates moderate drought. Little pruning is needed- remove dead or crossing branches in early spring. Plant with another viburnum variety nearby for cross-pollination and the best berry display. Fertilize lightly in spring. The white flower clusters in spring, spectacular blue berries in fall that are highly attractive to birds, and good fall foliage color make this a productive and ornamental native shrub. Largely pest-free.
